About Counselling

Life’s challenges can sometimes feel overwhelming, leaving you uncertain about the way forward.

Counselling provides a supportive space to explore your thoughts and feelings, helping you gain clarity, confidence, and a deeper understanding of yourself.

Whatever you’re facing, you don’t have to go through it alone.

Initial Consultation

Taking the first step towards counselling can feel daunting, which is why I offer a free 20-minute consultation.

This is a chance for us to have a relaxed conversation about what’s on your mind, how I work, and whether counselling feels like the right fit for you.

There’s no pressure or obligation—just an opportunity to explore what you need.

My Approach

As an integrative therapist, I tailor my approach to suit your unique needs, drawing from different therapeutic models to provide the right support for you. My work is rooted in person-centred therapy, which places you at the heart of the process, ensuring our sessions focus on what matters most to you.

I also integrate elements of attachment theory and psychodynamic approaches, exploring how past experiences may influence your present emotions and behaviours. Above all, counselling is a collaborative process, and we will work together to find the approach that best supports your growth, self-awareness, and emotional wellbeing.

Counselling for Adults

Many adults struggle with anxiety, low self-esteem, relationship difficulties, family pressures, or the demands of work and daily life. Counselling provides a safe, supportive, and confidential space where you can explore your thoughts and feelings, gain clarity, and develop strategies to help you feel more in control of your life.

I tailor my approach to suit your unique needs. Some clients find traditional talk therapy helpful, while others benefit from exploring their emotions in different ways. Whether you need space to reflect, help making sense of overwhelming emotions, or support in working through a specific issue, I will work alongside you to help you move forward with greater confidence and self-awareness.

Confidentiality is at the heart of the therapeutic process. Our sessions are a private and judgment-free space where you can speak openly, knowing you will be listened to with compassion and understanding.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of the next step, I’m here to help. Get in touch to arrange a free 20-minute consultation and find out if counselling is right for you.

Counselling for Young People

Adolescence can be a difficult and overwhelming time. Many young people experience anxiety, low self-esteem, friendship struggles, family issues, or the pressures of school and social media. For neurodivergent young people—those with ADHD, Autism, Dyslexia, Dyspraxia, and other differences—these challenges can feel even greater. Counselling provides a safe, supportive, and confidential space where they can express their feelings, explore their experiences, and develop strategies to navigate life with more confidence.

I work with young people aged 13 and over, adapting my approach to meet their unique needs. For some, traditional talk therapy is helpful, while others may find creative methods such as drawing, storytelling, or interactive activities more effective in expressing themselves. This flexible approach ensures that every young person feels comfortable and heard, particularly those who struggle with verbal communication.

Confidentiality is key to building trust, and I respect a young person’s right to privacy. While I encourage parental involvement where appropriate, I will only share details of our sessions with consent from the young person. This allows them to engage fully in the process while ensuring they feel supported both in and outside of therapy.
